1. Hazel is getting interested in potty training. Two weeks ago, she wanted to sit on the potty before her bath (which we often encourage, but she's never actually GONE). And she pooped. It was amazing. We gave her candy.
Since then, she has both peed and pooped several times (in the potty), but pretty much just when she feels like it. I'm not sure that I want to put in the effort to officially potty train her when she is this young, since her bladder control may not be good enough to succeed yet. I just don't know if I'm ready to deal with lots of accidents!
2. I've been doing a fair bit of sewing. I made covers for my sewing machines, embroidered some decorations on a maternity top that I never finished during my last pregnancy, and made a vest. I'm pretty proud of the vest, because it didn't fit well when I was done. So I took it in in a few places, and it's actually flattering now!
3. I've gotten on an organizing kick. There was a Relief Society conference thingy this past weekend with a mini session on decluttering, and that just sounded like such a good idea, with us moving in a few months. So for three days now I've been sorting through everything we own systematically, and I'm getting rid of lots of stuff, and organizing the rest of it. It is very refreshing and satisfying!
4. Anthony is almost done with the project part of his master's thesis. For those of you who don't know, for computer science, the project is the really big part, and the write-up afterward is just to show what you've done. And possibly get published. Anyway. It's a big stinkin' deal that he's almost done programming, and I am very proud. :)
Hooray! An update! So, are you pregnant, my dearest Denise? I saw the mention of maternity tops...Don't hold out on us!
ReplyDeleteI love how you have introduced the concept of potty training from birth... good job.
